Tyler's 1st Day of School - Class of 2013!

Tyler Andrew Kirklin

Tyler loves his new shirt...it says "I'm bringing grumpy back." It has a picture of Grumpy from the 7 dwarfs. It really describes his mood lately. I think having to get up for school has put his body in shock! He is also taking a full load of classes and is planning to run for President of the student body at Chipman JH. He wants to bring back the phrase "Don't be a turkey vote for kirky!" I know it worked for Mark and I think it will work for Tyler. Ty is also taking all GATE and honors classes. From Algebra, English, Social Science to Show Choir. Tyler is a dancing singing crazy kid. I am so proudd of him for doing choir. He is my only child this year to do music. I so enjoy watching tyler sing. He is doing football 2 hours a night so needless to say he is tired and not in the mood to talk....he is for sure bringing Grumpy back!

Joel's 1st Day of School - Class of 2011

Joel Alan Kirklin

Joel started his sophomore year with a full schedule. He is taking zero period - Strong Body, and all honors GATE classes: English, Algebra 2, World History, Spanish 2, Biology (he gets to dissect a cat....something he can't wait for!) and Archetectial Design. He has some great teachers and not so great teachers....we are trying to motivate him to do homework. I will keep you posted on that! He hurt his back last week at football so he took a week off from hard practice. He is back in the practicing mode this week. His back is doing better. He has a scrimmage this Saturday and a BBQ. We are really looking forward to watching him play football. I stopped by to see Joel at practice last week to say hi and now his teamates call him a Mama's Boy! They even put it on his helment. What is up with that??? If the Daddy had stopped by, it would have been a different story. What is up with that???? Mama's boy or not, we sure do love our Joely!

Jordan's 1st day of Senior Year! Class of 2009

Jordan Alexis Kirklin

I can't believe that Jordan is a senior. It really feels just like yesterday when I dropped her off at Kindergarten and the teacher had to ask me to leave....the time has flown by and I am so proud of Jordan and all of her accomplishments. She is in her 4th year of seminary, she is playing Varsity Volleyball, she has a job and she is taking really hard classes. She has AP English, AP Psychology, Government, Statistics, and Architectural Design.
We received the results from her MRI on her ankle. She has two torn ligaments. We are not sure how bad or what it means. We will see the ortho doctor as soon as we can to find out what he thinks. Jordan says she is going to play no matter what and from everything I have read, there is nothing she could do that can't be fixed. It hurts but pain is nothing new to her.

We have senior pictures to schedule and much to get ready for her senior year. I will for sure keep you posted!

Tyler gets bruised....

Tyler came home from football with this crazy bruise. First of all can you believe how big his muscle is???? He is so proud of it and he shows it to who ever will pay attention to him. I have to tell you that it scares me. Mark says its ok so I am going to trust him for now. I just hope he does not get hurt really bad. I will keep you posted!!!!

Went to the Temple.....

Jordan and I went to the LA Temple on Friday - 08-08-08 for Jessica's wedding. The sealing was beautiful. Jordan hung out with Tammy and Brittney and watched the kids while I attended the wedding. The West's had so much family. Heather and Michael both have 6 brothers and sisters and they were all there. I think there were 12 to 14 children. It was wonderful to see all their family together. The word that kept coming to my mind was joy! I was so glad that we went. We were also able to get some school shopping done for J while we were there. She bought all of her school clothes herself. I was so proud of her.
